Using Beaumont Wood Finishes

original mockup extended_edited_edited.jpg

Beaumont Original

Our Flagship product. It is a structured oil/wax product that melts during application.

Surface Prep

Sand wood to 220 grit. If applying over stain, wait at least 12 hours after staining. Ensure surface is clean and dry before applying.

Application Process

Scoop a small amount using a knife, strip of wood, or finger — a little goes a long way. Apply directly with squeegee, or place in a thin cloth and use the balled-up surface as the applicator. Work it thoroughly into the grain using an ultra-fine (white) non-woven pad, using friction to melt it into the grain. Once the surface is fully wetted, let sit for 15 minutes (or up to 3 hours), then wipe off all excess with a clean cloth. After a few hours, you may buff with a soft cloth or electric buffer. Wait 24 hours between coats. Repeat as desired. Avoid contact with moisture for 7 days. Fully cured in 10–14 days depending on temperature, humidity, and airflow.

Safety Notice

Use as directed. Do not ingest. Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged skin exposure. Keep away from heat, sparks, and open flame. Dispose of used rags and applicators in a sealed metal container filled with water, as they may spontaneously combust if improperly stored. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
